    Finding your KML

    Bring your bug’s journey to life.

    1. Go to a trackable page on geocaching.com. Use the browser, not the app, and make sure you’re logged in.
    2. Choose “View in Google Earth” on the trackable’s page. This saves a .kml file to your downloads. The Trackable Options menu on a geocaching.com trackable page. Below Add a Log Entry, Edit This Trackable, Upload an Image and Print Info Sheet, the last item reads View in Google Earth.
    3. Click “Open your bug’s KML” and pick that file. Or just drag it anywhere onto this page.
    4. Press play on the map to watch your bug’s journey unfold!

    The file is read in your browser and never uploaded. KML holds ordered cache coordinates and total mileage only, so Bugabout can’t show visit dates, log text, cache names, or photos. Countries and US states are worked out from each stop’s coordinates.
